The second transnational event of the project “Art for Earth: Youth Shaping Sustainable Cities Creatively – Radical Green: Increasing Citizens’ Participation in the Green Transition through Art Performances and Cultural Initiatives” was held at ARKA Youth Center in Shkodër.
The project aims to increase citizens’ participation in sustainable development and environmental protection through art, culture, and creative initiatives.
The first day of the event featured the presentation of the project, its objectives, and the activities planned within its framework. The event brought together Shkodër Prefect Olta Duda, representatives of local government, local experts, young people, artists, and civil society organizations.
The main focus of the event was “Art for Earth: Youth Shaping Sustainable Cities Creatively”, placing young people, art, and creativity at the center of environmental awareness and the development of sustainable cities.
The project aims to:
🔹 Empower young people to take an active role in climate action and local governance;
🔹 Strengthen dialogue between young people, institutions, artists, and civil society;
🔹 Bring together European and Albanian experiences in the field of sustainability;
🔹 Use art, culture, and digital tools to raise environmental awareness and encourage citizen participation in the green transition.
